Should you clean your BottleKeeper? Unless you like stinky things (not passing judgement here), your BottleKeeper needs just a bit of care to keep it clean.

To ensure your BottleKeeper lasts as long as possible, a few simple steps need to be taken after each use.

Be sure to dry the inside and outside of your BottleKeeper by wiping away any condensation or other liquids. Pay special attention to the inside of the BottleKeeper’s neck and shoulder.

We recommend that you keep the pieces of your BottleKeeper detached (or separated) for a period of time after each use to allow the neoprene inside to dry completely. The amount of time that it will take for the neoprene to dry completely may depend on your climate. Areas that tend to be more humid may require a longer drying period than others.

Failure to allow the neoprene to completely dry before assembling and storing your BottleKeeper, could result in moldy or smelly neoprene, which is no good.

If it gets excessively dirty or is beginning to smell, you can place it in the dishwasher on the upper shelf with the base and body disconnected. Don't put it in the dishwasher after every use as you might wear out the adhesive pads or glue that holds the neoprene in place.

Also, don't place the lid in the dishwasher, hand wash that part as the inner seal may fall out...
