The 12 oz Standard is for a typical shaped beer bottle, often referred to as a "long neck" -- like Bud Light, Sam Adams or Coors. The 12 oz Stubby is for a shorter/wide bottle -- like Sierra Nevada, Firestone or Lagunitas.
